About Labour Force

Labour Force was established as a traffic management agency in 2013 by Lee Mundy and Emma Young to provide traffic management labour, primarily to clients in the Highways industry and Utilities sector.

The company is run from offices in Essex- which provides a great base from which we can cover Essex, London, Kent - and any area within a 40-mile radius of the M25.

Lee Mundy has over 18 years’ experience within the traffic management industry. He is qualified in both high and low speed traffic management. His industry knowledge includes permitting and planning and CAD design drawing. Lee previously held managerial positions involving planning traffic management gangs and other forms of labour.

Emma Young has 15 years’ experience in senior management and HR and is CIPD qualified. She is experienced in recruitment and staff development. Both directors are Drug and Alcohol certified testers.

Lee and Emma’s complementary skills mean that Labour Force is the ideal supplier of specialist labour to the traffic management industry. We understand the industry, we are experienced in working with large clients - including local authorities and Utilities - and we have the necessary skills to properly support and manage the traffic management operatives who sign up with Labour Force.

For operatives, this means that that you’ll be working for an agency that knows all about traffic management– Lee has done the job – but also one that understands the legal and moral requirements around safely and professionally managing people.

Labour Force is at the forefront of making the supply of traffic management safe and professional for both our clients and our traffic management operatives. Our bespoke traffic management mobile app provides clients with 24-hour access to live site updates with GPS time stamped photos confirming operatives’ attendance, qualifications and site updates.

This is a great development for clients as they can easily see the status of a job without having to request telephone or email updates.
